Who does this: You, your Social Media Manager, or Community Manager.
- Environment set-up
Before you start to create gorgeous content for your client or for yourself, be sure to know the niche you're working on. What is the niche? What are the brand's colors? Ask those question before creating content on Canva, Instagram Reels or TikTok.
If you create a picture post :
- Open Canva
- Click on the search bar
- Look for Instagram Post. A lot of templates will appear.
- Click on one of the Instagram post template.
- Choose one of the template you want to use or create a blank one.
- Modify the template to make it the brand colors and the information you want to give to the audience.
- You can also add pictures with the upload button
- Text with the text button
- Elements with the element button
- To change the color of a text or an element, simply click on it and a menu will appear.
- You can do a lot of things with the text. You can change the color, the effect, you can make it bold, italic and add effects.
- When you are done, download your design and you can follow this SOP to know how to post on Instagram.
- You can also post a "normal" picture that you got from yourself or a professionnal.
If you create a REEL/TikTok post:
- Open Instagram from your phone
- Click on the little + on the top
- Choose REELS
- It will open the reel app. You can record a video or select one that you already have
- If you add your pre-recorded video, follow these steps. Click on the Icon with your picture down below and choose a video you want to upload.
- When you decided wich of your video you want to use, click on add.
- After that, click on preview. You can modify your video however you like. Add sounds, text, etc.
- When you're satisfied with the result, write your caption and hashtags. To know how to make an hashtag list, read this SOP : How to create a hashtag list
- Click on draft or post and you're done! Be sure to select the right option for the feed. If you don't want the reel on your feed, be sure to turn off the button.
